This week, our youngest child graduated from high school! All 9 of our children have graduated from Orem High School. My siblings and I all graduated from Orem High School too so that means Orem High has had someone there from my family for the last 43 years. It's the end of an era. Here are some pictures of our most recent grad as well as all the other kids. It's so fun to look at these pictures and remember all the happy moments!

 This last week Camille graduated from MTEC! What is MTEC you ask? MTEC stands for Mountainland Technical College. It is a trade and vocational school with an emphasis on getting industry certifications in a variety of fields. It is for both high school students as well as older adults. Some of the programs are longer than a year but some are just a semester like the one Camille did--Pharmacy Technician. She went to class Monday-Thursday from 11:30-2:30pm. She went to high school for the first two periods of each day and then took the bus to the MTEC campus in Lehi. Getting her there was challenging since we weren't comfortable with her driving there and the bus schedules did not align with the school periods. So I generally had to pick her up and take her to the bus wherever it was on it's route so she would get there on time. Pharmacy Technician was not an easy program. She had to learn more than 240 drug names with their generic name as well as their category, along with oth...

 Yesterday, our youngest child graduated from seminary. It was a happy occasion for us. Camille enjoyed seminary. It was one of her favorite classes in high school and she learned a lot. Here she is with the other graduates from our ward:  Smith Broadbent (her 3rd cousin!), Hudson Heath, and Sam Conover, along with our bishop, Nathan Lambert. During the meeting, the stake president shared with us how he visited his father for the last time when his father was dying of cancer. The last words from his father were, "Remember who you are." And that's the message I'd like to share with my children too. I hope they can remember they are children of God and He loves them even more than we do.  Seminary graduation represents a lot of effort from not just students but also parents, teachers, and church leaders to help our children learn about and hopefully value the gospel of Jesus Christ.
