I've decided to get a professional family picture every 5 years. We got one back in 2006, 2011, 2016, and now 2021. I have stressed a lot about these pictures. Somehow putting a fair amount of money on the line makes the pictures more stressful--getting everyone there, coordinating the clothes (major stress), helping the kids be happy, hoping the photographer gets the perfect pictures I want, etc. As usual, I realized after the fact that I really shouldn't stress about it--I think that describes most of my life, by the way. We were missing a few people: AnnaSue, Jenya, and Enzo who was born just a week ago. But other than that, we have some great pictures! Photos by Val.TrulyPhotography.
The backstory is that a few of the little children were having a meltdown--too close to bedtime, too hungry, etc. Thankfully, I remembered a box of Goldfish snacks in the trunk of the car that I had just purchased that afternoon and not put in the pantry. I don't usually buy them but they were on sale and I guess it was just a little bit of inspiration. The snacks really saved the day.
Beautiful photos, Paula!
