Family History: Oct. 4, 2009-Nov. 29, 2009

Oct. 4, 2009 (Scott) Today Paula is going to the afternoon session of conference, taking 3 children with her. It was another busy week of homework for Jan and Garrett. Paula and Camille went to another gross motor skills class and Paula has renewed determination to have Camille walk everywhere she goes. Camille is fast with her walker but very reluctant to walk on her own. Su & T went on a field trip to listen to the Utah Symphony at MVHS. T liked when they played some Indiana Jones music. Susanna liked the "March of the Goblins." Jan & Garrett went to the NHS meeting and Jan is glad not to be on the NHS council this year. They also went to a morningside and were underwhelmed by the hugeness of the "huge" cinnamon rolls. Everett hurt his shoulder at school Friday. He had it x-rayed but it was "mildly sprained." Lincoln auditioned for UVYS and is playing in the Phil. Mindy is making new friends at kindergarten. Camille likes to sit on the violin cas

Family History: Aug. 2, 2009-Sept. 27, 2009

August 2, 2009 (Scott) On Tuesday we drove to Bear Lake, where we camped T & W nights. In honor of the occasion we bought a new tent, a canopy, and a 3-man inflatable raft. We borrowed a 2-man raft from the Hansens and everyone enjoyed the water. Lincoln especially enjoyed the boats. Everett too. Garrett read a lot, so did Susanna. She started Harry Potter, Bk 1, on Thursday, July 23. Today she started Book 7, having read all of the others in the past 10 days. She was inspired by her cousin Anna Hansen who is reading all of the books this summer too. On the way home from Bear Lake we took the long way and stopped at the Pepperidge Farms factory north of Logan, the Caspar Ice Cream company (selling 50 Fat Boys for $12), Bergeson Hill outside of Cornish, Martin Harris' gravesite in Clarkston, and passed by the Willey home (of Willey-Martin handcart fame) in Wellsville. Today Jan passed off the camping and personal management merit badges. Lincoln passed off the art merit badge.
