2010-2020: The Next Ten Years

This is my latest installment in the next ten years of family pictures.  It has ironically been the hardest to put together even though in theory all my pictures from this time period are digitized.  But it has become obvious that I need to work on my picture organization! July 2010 in the Conference Center, our tour after Talmage's baptism May 2010 in the foothills, David was on his mission November 2011, after David came home and before Jan left--one of my favorites except we don't have a good digital copy August, 2012:  David and Stephanie's wedding, Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple, Jan was on his mission April, 2013:  in the foothills (Jan was still on his mission, Garrett was preparing to go--I think this was the day before his shoulder surgery and before David and Stephanie left for the summer for an internship in Virginia) October 2013, in our backyard, right before Garrett left on his mission, right after Katie was born, Jan was on h

The Next 10 Years

Last week I posted family pictures from the first 10 years of our marriage which began in 1989.  Here are the next ten years:  2000-2009.  Our pictures became a little less consistent as life got a little crazier. 2000, shortly after Susanna was born 2002 shortly before Talmage was born 2002 in the fall 2003, in the fall shortly we moved into our new house 2004 after Mindy was born Fall, 2005.  This picture was the one I really wanted to work and it would have worked except for the wild grass we didn't notice in the front.  It was taken at Berchtesgaden at the Eagle's Nest. So we took this picture in the fall of 2005 next to our church in Munich. We came home from Germany and had our picture taken in fall, 2006, at Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon. This is a super cute picture of Susanna and Talmage. This is the one that hung in our living room for a long time. Camille was born a year later so it got outdated

The First 10 Years

Today I decided to start scanning all our family pictures and present them for your viewing pleasure and to help preserve them before they get damaged or lost. Unfortunately a few of the pictures have not held up well but most of them did. Wedding day:  April 27, 1989 Graduation 1990 1991 1992 1993 1995 (Sadly I guess we missed 1994) 1996 1996, obviously this picture has had some abuse. 1997--we were in front of the Washington, DC temple but you can't really see it because it's faded. 1998 1999 In 10 years, we went from 2 to 7.  The other day I was talking to a friend who was only able to have 2 children and that only after doing IVF twice.  She still feels that disappointment of not being able to have all the children she wanted.  I am incredibly blessed to have a large family.

January events

January saw a lot of people coming and going at our house.  First we said goodbye to Everett who went to Jerusalem for the BYU Study Abroad.  He was not sure he was really doing the right thing in going but today I asked him if he was glad he went and he said yes. He was the last one at the airport (last-minute packing) and came down with strep throat on the way over but things are going fine now. While Susanna was dropping off Everett at the airport, Camille was getting a big mouthful of metal.  Yes, braces again!  It was painful for the first few days and we've already had to go in for a bracket that came off but it's going okay. Next on the schedule was the Itzhak Perlman concert.  This was one of Susanna's Christmas presents and she was very excited to go.  We were in the balcony about halfway back so the view wasn't amazing but it was fun to be there. The very next day, early in the morning, Garrett took off for the long drive to Boston.  He came bac
