This last week we had the great good fortune of visiting our son and his family in Austin, Texas, where they have lived the last few years. We flew out on Saturday evening and flew back on Wednesday. We enjoyed seeing them and meeting our granddog, Penny. Addie won the most enthusiastic grandchild award. Every time we came to the house, she would yell, "Papa!" (for Opa) and jump into Scott's arms. It was very endearing. She was a big fan. We spent Sunday at Lincoln's house watching General Conference and then went to a park to see the famous Texas bluebonnets which were blooming. First we had a Texas-shaped waffle at the hotel where we stayed. I was trying to duplicate a picture from 1970 when I was a tiny tot: I also visited a friend whom I have known for 45+ years: Monday we went downtown and walked on the trail that goes next to the Colorado River of Texas (which is different from the Colorado River in Utah).
