Our Ancestors: Jesse N. Smith and Emma Larson Smith

For our family reunion I recently put together a PowerPoint presentation on our ancestors Jesse N. Smith and his wife Emma Larsen Smith. My major sources were the Journal of Jesse N. Smith and  https://jessensmith.org/ . I also used a history of the Lorana Smith and Hyrum Broadbent family called "Parched Corn and Raisins" for memories of Emma along with a few memories posted on FamilySearch Family Tree. One of my goals was accuracy so I tried to use primary sources if at all possible.  As I read about these ancestors, I am impressed with how quickly they grew up, first married at age 17 (Jesse) and 18 (Emma), and taking on major responsibilities. They were dependable and reliable and stayed true to their faith and their family throughout their lives.
