We enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal as always. We had 29 people at our house, with almost all my children in attendance, grandchildren, spouses, and a few extra guests. The turkey we made was a little dry. I think it was because it was still on the frozen side despite being in the fridge for a week. So the outer meat got cooked way before the inside meat. But all the sides were good. We also served some ham which was popular. And lots of pie. The weather was unseasonably warm. We went over to my brother's house about 4pm to visit with the relatives there. Then a little later we went ice skating at the Peaks. I didn't actually ice skate but I hung around with my 3-year-old grandson who didn't want to ice skate and talked to people. Scott and I hiked the Y earlier in the day so I had gotten some good exercise.
Our grandchildren stayed overnight and we did some activities with them today. We raked leaves in our yard then walked to the park in our unseasonably warm weather. Then after some lunch, we decorated our graham cracker houses. Later in the afternoon we put together some backpacks for homeless people. This was a project we donated to the Food and Care Coalition in Provo. The supplies in the backpack are to help them stay warm this winter.
